The Franklin Central High School Band Program is excited to announce Jackie Nason as our new Associate Director of Bands! We are very excited to welcome her to our band family.

Prior to her appointment as Associate Director of Bands at Franklin Central, Jackie Nason served as Director of Bands at Mt. Vernon High School (Fortville, IN) for five years. In this role, Ms. Nason led the program in various capacities, including the marching band, jazz band, and two ability-based concert bands. While under her leadership, Mt. Vernon's concert bands received consistent 'Gold with Distinction' ratings at ISSMA Organizational contests. In addition, she oversaw the percussion and winter guard programs, both of whom have been competitively successful in their respective circuits, with the Concert A Percussion Ensemble winning a state championship in the spring of 2023. Prior to this, she served as Associate Director of Bands at New Castle High School and Director of Orchestras and Assistant Band Director at Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ms. Nason graduated from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne with a Bachelors in Music Education. She is a member of the Indiana Bandmasters Association and the National Association for Music Education. While she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, working out, and spending time with her friends, family, and furry children Miles, a 5 lb Yorkshire Terrier, and Tiggie, a rather large tuxedo cat who is often terrorized by the 5 lb yorkie.
